Hugh Canham has had two fulfilling careers: his first was as a solicitor with a central London law firm, where he became Managing Partner and briefly Chairman, during a period of great expansion when the firm had offices in Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Singapore. In the 1980s he switched his attentions to running a small farm in East Sussex and an antiques shop and gallery in Cranbrook in Kent with his wife.
