On sleepless nights, skip tracer Riley MacLeod can't forget the man she killed in self-defense, but her work with MacLeod Investigation and Security has been her saving grace. Her brothers, PI Greyson Chadwick, and the rest of the team are a blessing, and she knows they have her back. When a mysterious gold key is left on Riley's doorstep, the team finds themselves in the middle of a case involving Riley's friend Kelly, whom they believe has been the victim of foul play. However, they soon discover that Kelly is not dead but in hiding. Riley is determined to figure out what has Kelly running and enlists her partner Greyson to help. Soon, Riley and Greyson are also on the run, searching for Kelly and hiding from the killers who want Kelly dead. As they deal with their growing feelings for each other, they'll need to solve the mystery of the key and keep Kelly safe, all while guarding their hearts--or it may be time to confess their love and make it a true partnership. VERDICT The second entry in Pettrey's suspense/Christian fiction "Jeopardy Falls" series, after One Wrong Move, does not disappoint. The action keeps readers on their toes, while the characters' deep soul searching makes for a compelling read. Fans of Patricia Bradley and Lynette Eason will enjoy.--Jane Blue
